1. The Offering

You must contribute one full carton of craft beer. That’s right, 24 glorious tinnies or stubbies of the same beer. No mix-packs, no half measures, no “I found this on special at Dan’s” business.

2. The Wrapping Ritual

Wrap each beer individually like the precious gift it is, then write the number I assign you on each wrapped gem. Presentation counts, we’re aiming for festive, not bin-night.

3. The Exchange

Once wrapped, hand over your carton to me. I’ll take about a week to play beer-Tetris and redistribute everyone’s advent cartons so that we’re all opening the same beer on the same day.

4. The Submission Approval Process

To keep things fair (and to stop six people from choosing Pirate Life South Coast Pale), entries are first in, best dressed. fill in the form to let Amanda know your beer pick ASAP for approval before you buy. Once a beer is taken, it’s off the table.

5. The Eligibility Clause

Beer only. No cider, ginger beer, seltzer, kombucha, or “fun alcoholic infusions.”

Must be craft. If it’s in a rural town fridge, it’s probably not eligible.

Minimum $75 spend per carton, quality over quantity, folks.

No repeats from past years (check the group photos if you need a memory jog).

6. The Storytime Requirement

Include a short spiel about why you chose your beer, deep meaning or pure impulse, we don’t judge. I’ll share your write-up in the group when your beer’s turn comes up.

7. The Democracy Clause

After Christmas, we’ll vote for our favourites (and no, you can’t vote for yourself). Eternal glory and bragging rights await the winner.

8. The Fun Rule

This is non-negotiable: have fun. Don’t overthink it, don’t under-deliver it, and absolutely don’t skip a day.

Get your beer approved and your name on the list ASAP so we can start wrapping, swapping, and sipping before 1 December.
