The Festive Code of Beers

The Offering
One full carton of craft beer: 24 tinnies or stubbies of the same beer. No mix-packs, no half measures, no "found it on special" business.

The Claim
First in, best dressed. Claim your beer on the site before you buy. Once a beer is taken, it's off the table.

The Number
Once all 24 places are committed and Josh confirms the event, everyone receives their participant number with their instructions.

The Wrapping Ritual
Wrap each beer individually like the precious gift it is and write your number on every one. Festive, not bin-night.

The Exchange
Drop your wrapped carton at the exchange point — you'll get the address the moment your claim is in. We play beer-Tetris for about a week so everyone opens the same beer on the same day.

The Interstate Clause
Outside South Australia? You're welcome. You arrange delivery of your 24 beers to Adelaide by the drop-off deadline. Josh packs your mixed case and sends it back by courier, charged at the actual courier cost from a quote you approve first.

The Eligibility Clause
Beer only: no cider, ginger beer, seltzer, kombucha or "fun alcoholic infusions". Must be craft. Minimum $100 per carton. No repeats from the last three years.

The Storytime Requirement
Send a short spiel about why you chose your beer. Deep meaning or pure impulse, we don't judge. It goes out the night your beer is opened.

The Democracy Clause
After Christmas 2026 we vote for our favourites (not your own). Eternal glory awaits.

The Fun Rule
Non-negotiable. Don't overthink it, don't under-deliver it, don't skip a day.
